Vintage French Baccarat Empire style crystal and ormolu vase clock
Absolutely breathtaking and impressive vintage French after Baccarat Empire style crystal vase and clock with ormolu mounts. Very beautiful and heavy vase with faceted, elongated neck and body in diamond cut pattern with square base resting on a gilded bronze platform and four feet. The vase was created to replicate the old Baccarat vases with clock from the 19th century in Empire style with its gilded bronze handles in the shape of swans.
Clock with white enamel dial, arabic numerals and inscription " Made in France". Couple of old paper labels on the underside, " Made in France", " Crystal and Bronze Paris " and a label with numbers on it.
Although this vase clock is not from the period, it is extremely well made and is a fantastic piece. Excellent condition, clock is battery operated and does not work (nice project for the collector).
