This is a terrific & Rare Jardiniere shaped Flower Vase. This is from the American Brilliant period (around 1910 to 1920) and it has a deep intaglio polished cutting of very detailed unique flowers.
The design of the leaves is truly unique and flashy. The quality is extremely high which is what drew me to it when I bought it.
The polished pontil mark on the bottom is called by collectors the "coin spot" pontil that Pairpoint was known for, and on the Pairpoint Knowledge Center you can see this pattern on a plate in the Patterns Index, but it is listed as an unknown pattern "E" for now. It is rare, I have only seen 1 other piece with this pattern before in all of my years of collecting. Measure: 6" tall and 5-1/2" wide top rim.
Body is about 7 wide. Condition: This is 100+ years old by now but it is in good condition to display or use.I see no rim damage, no cracks. All of the scratches on the bottom you may see would be common age marks and usual. Therefore it will be treated as such. I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online. However, shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo's only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item.
