Lambert, Belgium cranberry cut-to-clear crystal 6.5 tall compote. This beautiful compote features gorgeous cranberry colored glass cut in an oval pattern exposing the clear glass under layer above a clear glass pedestal base. The top cutting is a horizontal oval cut with scalloped top and bottom edges with an oval cutting that runs horizontally around the mid- section of the bowl and another horizontal oval cut with scalloped top and bottom edges encircling the cranberry colored base of the bowl. This nice compote is in very good to excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
There are some very minor no-harm scratches in the bottom of the bowl and on bottom of base from normal use. Glass is unmarked but identified as the "Blarney" pattern produced by the Val St.Measures 6 1/2" high with a top diameter of 6 1/8" and base diameter of 3 1/2. We have sherbet dishes, cordials, dessert bowls, 3.5 goblets and two matching compotes as listed here in this design all listed separately. Since the turn of the 19th Century, the Val Saint Lambert Cristallaries in Belgium have been known for their high quality glass products and this beautiful set is no exception.
