"Art glass made by Czechoslovakian born "crystal cutter par excellence, Kurt Strobach. Illinois based craftsman Strobach is a fourth generation glass cutter who began his formal glass apprenticeship at age 14.

He was trained in Austria using labor intensive Bohemian glass cutting methods developed over several centuries, resulting in sharply cut designs that refract high levels of light and make his art crystal sparkle. Strobach, designated an'official Illinois Artisan' by the Illinois Artisans Program run by the Illinois State Museum, imports high quality lead crystal blanks from European manufacturers and meticulously hand cuts each piece using cold glass techniques in his Crystal Lake, Illinois studio. The artist produces a variety of items including crystal vases, wine carafes, wine glasses and bowls. All items come from a smoke free home.
