Pair Crystal Vase/Stamped Atlantis/925 Silver Mounted/Empire/Portugal 1970/Eagle

  

Pair of crystal vases, 925 silver mounts. This is a very PRETTY PAIR of clear crystal vases, cylindrical form, each vase stamped underside (Atlantis) in etched mark (see photo). Heavy crystal, deep cut star decoration underside. Mounted in sterling silver Empire style and taste, top and bottom borders decorated with ribbons bows, floral motifs and garlands. The bottom and top silver mounts, with 4 silver hallmarks (see photos).

I can identify only 2 of them, one 925 and the other 925 with scales. The central silver mounts is outstanding, nicely decorated in a dancing woman (maiden), holding a tambourine, in cornucopia surround and eagle top. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. H : 15 1/4 inches (39 cm) each. Opening diameter : 3 inches (7.5 cm) each.

Diameter at the base : 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) each. Weight : one is : 4 lbs 7.5 oz (2 kgs).

Second is : 4 lbs 10.5 oz (2.11 kgs). The heavy weight reflects the thickness of the crystal, authenticity of the work. The slight difference in weight, reflects the hand work process.

No chips, cracks or any damage to the crystal. No damage or dents to the silver.

I cleaned both, crystal and silver. Crystal on both stamped Atlantis. Silver hallmarks on both vases. Clean and ready to be placed.
