Rare and big CRISTAL NANCY cranberry cut crystal vase. Heavy cranberry cut to clear crystal vase from the Art Deco Period. Signed CRISTAL NANCY CN with the famous Croix de Lorraine. This famous French crystal factory has been established in 1920 just in front of the Daum factory, in Nancy (France).
Auguste Houillon was the Artistic Director and he asked to Aristide Colotte to create some patterns and some moulds. They have had shops in New York, London, Koln, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro. Grand prix des Arts Décoratifs in PARIS in 1925.
" Hors Concours" at the Paris Exhibition in 1927. USA was a big customer , that is why they closed in 1934 after the big economic crysis.
Daum bought the Cristal Nancy factory and the moulds. Dimensions: Height: 36 cm (14 1/8 inches). Diameter: 11 cm (about 4 1/2 inches). Good condition, no chips, no craks, lovely colour.
