ANTIQUE C1920s RARE MUSEUM QUALITY ART DECO PRAGUE CZECH CUBISM CRYSTAL VASE

  

This is a rare hand cut cased crystal vase from Prague, Bohemia. It was made in the Art Deco period. This style and design is from the period called "Cubism". It is of clear lead crystal with an amber overlay which is deeply cut back to clear. The difficult to make and rare raised chevron design, the concave curved panels, a 16 cut rayed base in clear cut back crystal and the amber RARE FOLDED OVER base edges, make this a special collectors OR Museum piece.

For more information: There is a museum in Prague "The Municipal House" dedicated to the art of this Art Deco period of Czech Cubism. Neither have the rare and masterfully executed folded over base! Condition: Immaculate condition -no flaws. Size: 7 1/4" high; 5 5/8" in diameter across the top; and 5 in diameter across the base.
