19C Antique Imperial Russian Cut Glass Cranberry Fruit Vase Candy Bowl on Stem
Fully hand crafted at Imperial Glass Factory in 1820s -40s similar glass works could be seen in Russian state museums and private collections confirming time and manufacture. This exceptional and very rare lidded bowl had app. 190 years long life due its fortunate cozy residence in calm house in Sweden.
47 cm (18.5 in) high, 27.2 cm (10.7 in) diameter. Very Good condition, minor wear, micro chip(s) and scratches. Please study good resolution images for overall condition. Russian glass is very rare: Because of the numerous wars that occurred on the territory of Russia. Also Bolsheviks didn't like beautiful decorative items created in imperial Russia and crashed them every time they had opportunity.
On the other hand, Russian tradition welcomes to break some glass as it brings happiness. So not much glass items survived in these hard-severe circumstances. A number of countries have partially closed their borders to passenger traffic, which means that a large portion of the air traffic has been stopped.
