Sawtooth PURPLE AMETHYST Vase CUT TO CLEAR Lead CRYSTAL Bavaria GERMANY Pinwheel
Presented for your considerating is a classic urn-shaped cut-to-clear sawtooth vase in a clean AMETHYST / PURPLE / VIOLET. Cut into the mouth blown sides are three large feathered pinwheels and three large fans connected by swags.
The base of the neck is adorned with a band of connected dots. The top of the neck shows a band of large coin dots and marquise ovals. There is a third band of gumdrops at the bottom. The upper edge (1/4 inch thick) has been finished off with a sawtooth pattern and a large star adorns the base.
All in all, a winning combination of cuts. This heavy full lead (24% PbO) crystal vase is a vintage piece produced in southern Germany. It is in excellent condition showing just a bit of scuffing to the base. Nicks, dings, chips nor repairs. Diameter rim: 3 5/8 inches. Diameter at widest part: 4 5/8 inches. Diameter base: 2 1/2 inches. Weight: 2 pounds, 10.6 ounces. Please be assured that I will pack this piece with the utmost of care in tissue paper and bubble wrap to make sure that it arrives safely in your home. And been scouring the flea markets for over 30 years. I have been mailing packages internationally for longer than that. Beautiful piece of German crystal is sure to please.
