RUBY RED Stained Vase Glass CUT TO CLEAR CRYSTAL Bohemian German DEER & GROUSE

  

Presented for your consideration is a handsome cut-to-clear crystal vase in a deep and velvety RUBY RED. Cut into the mouth blown sides are a classic Czech combination of two scenes, one of a leaping deer and a dove in flight and one of a grouse in flight, framed by trees, baroque rocailles, dots and curlicues. A lovely band of round coin dots encircles the middle. Larger curlicues and dots decorate the lower portion of this tall vase. The upper edge is polished smooth and the base is clear.

Vase is a vintage Bohemian piece produced by Firma Ernst Wittig GmbH , Hadamar, Hessen, Germany. The Wittig family came from Haida in the Czech Republic and carried on manufacturing crystal in the typically Bohemian style after settling in Germany after the WWII. It is in excellent condition.

The only blemish that I can find is a tiny 1/8 inch long scratch near the upper edge. There are no further nicks, dings, chips nor repairs. The original gold foil sticker is still in place.

Diameter rim: 4 7/8 inches. Diameter base: 3 5/8 inches.

Weight: 1 pound, 7.8 ounces. Please be assured that I will pack this piece with the utmost of care in tissue paper and bubble wrap to make sure that it arrives safely in your home.
